Fraser Fir Essential Oil
Fraser Fir Essential Oil
We're so excited to offer this locally harvested and distilled essential oil! Fraser Fir is a Western North Carolina native species, found in the highest elevations of the Appalachian Mountains. It is one of the most common species used for Christmas trees and the majority of the Christmas trees that have graced the White House have been Fraser Firs from Western North Carolina. This oil was distilled by a local artisan distiller who brought it by for us to sample and we all fell in love. It smells exactly like a freshly cut Christmas tree. Along with smelling just divine, Fir essential oil is said to have decongestant, anti-spasmodic, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic properties. I love this oil for helping with congestion and for muscle aches and pain. It's wonderful for diffusing when you feel cold symptoms coming on-- see below for a recipe!
